NOTAGALLERY
Founded in 2022 by Berlin-based artist Ivan Gette, NOTAGALLERY is a contemporary art space that deliberately challenges the traditional gallery model. Where the conventional white cube can feel exclusive and intimidating, NOTAGALLERY transforms temporary and unexpected spaces into vibrant, interdisciplinary cultural hubs — bringing together painters, photographers, musicians, and designers under one roof. With a programme of rotating exhibitions, open calls, and community events, it has become one of Berlin’s most dynamic platforms for emerging and established artists alike.
The gallery’s most recent chapter, the Art Embassy near Checkpoint Charlie, spread over 2,000m² across three floors and showcased more than 40 international artists — a scale that few independent galleries anywhere in the world attempt.
How NOTAGALLERY uses Kukan
Art sales have always been limited by geography and opening hours. NOTAGALLERY uses its Conversational3D™ tour to remove both constraints entirely.
The tour runs 24/7 on the gallery’s website, where an AI guide — trained on the curation, the artists, and the works on show — gives every visitor the kind of informed, contextual experience that would normally require a knowledgeable gallerist in the room. Collectors browsing from London, Tokyo, or New York can explore the space, understand the work in its setting, and make purchase decisions without ever boarding a plane.
Crucially, the tours don’t go dark when an exhibition closes. NOTAGALLERY archives each show as a permanent Conversational3D™ record — meaning art continues to be discovered, experienced, and sold long after the paintings have left the walls.
